super fast weekend....love this weather!

I think weekends go way too fast. When I got home from work Friday I opened all the windows and started cleaning them. This cool weather is throwing me off.
Heath took Kayla fishing yesterday. He bought her a new fishing pole. Our neighbor has a friend that has a lake. I'm not that into fishing so I stayed home and got some things done around the house. Kayla enjoyed her fishing trip. They didn't catch anything. I found a tick on her shoulder and she was all eaten up by mosquitos. I scrubbed her down in the bath tub really good. She didn't hesitate either when I asked if she wanted me to give her a bath. Usually we have to struggle.
I made a dent in the baby's room. Boy it's a mess. Once we find out what it is Aug 5 I'm going to go through Kayla's old clothes and toss them if we have a boy. I have a couple of boxes of her baby clothes. I did buy the baby a onsie at Target the other day. It was so cute. It had a peace sign on it.
There is a roller derby bout this weekend. We're playing Bloomington so it should be a good bout. Then I'm meeting my friend Julie out afterwards. She lives out of town and we always get together when she's visiting. Late night for me. Woo!
I don't know if I posted about work or not. I'm employed w/ Keller Schroeder. They contracted me to work at Brystol Myers in Tech support. Contractors only last 2 years at BMS. They failed to inform me of it when I interviewed. Well, my 2 years is up in October. I wasn't planning on coming back to work after the baby was born. So it worked out pretty well. I think once I'm off work the time will fly by and this baby will be here before you know it. We have a few names we like. We won't tell anyone til he/she is born. We did that w/ Kayla. I just don't like to hear people give their opinions about the name we pick out. Everyone always knows a so and so and they were blah blah blah. :)

pregnant vs fat

I think I look preggo but some could just say I've put on a few pounds. Nobody has asked if I was pregnant at work yet. That makes me think they just think I've gained a few pounds. Oh well, I'm thinking in a few more weeks my belly will be popping out more. Dr said by the end of July the baby will be at my belly button. Alright, I'm in the mood for some chips/salsa, laters!

dr for Kayla this time

Kayla had to get her 5 year old shots yesterday. She wasn't looking forward to it. Who really does look forward to shots. We were at the Dr forever. He had a student w/ him so she came in first and checked Kayla out. The Dr. Schapker came in and did the same thing the other girl did. Then the shots came. The last time she got shots I think mom took her. But the last time I went w/ her she was little so there wasn't much anticipation from her b/c she was little. Well the nurse told me to come over and help her. I had to hold both Kayla's hands while the nurse did 3 shots. Kayla screamed and yelled 'it hurts'. That sucked but it was over really fast. We had to wait in the office for a bit so she could regain her composure. She didn't want anyone to see her cry. The nurse that gave her the shots gave her 5 suckers so Kayla was good w/ that. Then we went to swim lessons and life was good again. She doesn't get shots til she's 11. It's rough watching your kid go through shots. Just wait for the school bus in 4 weeks. I'm gonna be a mess.
Kayla's birthday cake!!!!

This was from last week when she got herself ready to go to the mall.

15 week check up

I had my dr apt today. The heartbeat was great and everything else checked out alright. I'm going to have the baby at Deaconess. I would have it at St Mary's but they don't tie the tubes up there. Every apt I've been to she keeps asking me if I'm sure. And she said that they'll ask again the day of. Of course I'm sure. More than 3kids? phpst, I don't see how people do it. Let alone 2. Double the thoughts of how they're going to grow up, getting sick, etc it worries me. I can't stand it when Kayla is sick. It's been quite a while though. But we've had our spells. I can't WAIT til we find out what we're having, a boy or girl? We're taking Kayla w/ us when we find out. I think she'll enjoy it. I also invited mom and Amy. The more the merrier. I read at Deaconess they have big sister/bro classes. I think I'll get Kayla in it. I have a feeling she's going to have some jealousy issues.
Heath had his last MRI today. The Dr said nothing has changed. It could've been a lesion he's had on his brain his whole life. And if it was something of any concern he would've had some more issues this past year. He had his seizure a year ago in August. I don't want to ever go through that again.

I think you can tell I'm pregnant now. My belly is poppin'! I have a Dr appointment Wednesday. I think I'll hear the heartbeat and they'll measure my belly. They take my weight everytime I go in which isn't fun. Last month I gained 4lbs. Not so sure it's going to be a low number this time. I'm required Dairy Queen and Mexican food at least once a week now.
Operation declutter for the baby arrival is on it's way. I have one trashbag full and only went through Kayla's closet. Now I just have to tackle her playroom. So many little toys. It's ridiculous.
Friday we're celebrating Kayla's birthday w/ mom, dad, Amy, Jenny (Aunt) and Rob (Uncle). Then Saturday we're going to a friends luau party. And Sunday having Heath's family over to celebrate Kayla's birthday again. I'm taking off Monday and me, mom and Jenny are taking Kayla to Burdette park. It's a birthday weekend. Woohoo!

New stuff is fun!

Last weekend we bought some new furniture. We went to Alles Brothers in Henderson. We were just looking for a bunk bed for Kayla. Well we ended up getting a few more pieces. While I was busy picking out the style of the bunk bed Heath was checking out the recliners. We've always needed a new recliner anyway. The one we have now is from mom and dad. Which is like 40 years old? Is that right mom? It's old. But has held up well. Then we saw a table and chairs for the kitchen. And I had to get a matching dresser for Kayla's room of course. The new furniture is awesome. Now we just need to get a new bedroom set. hehe.

Kayla loves her bunk bed. She has started making her bed now too. She sleeps on top or bottom. I guess it depends on her mood. Actually, she's on bottom when Heath has to carry her to bed. I was worried about her getting up in the middle of the night to go pee. If it would be difficult for her to get off from the top bunk. But she's doing great.
We got rid of our old kitchen table/chairs, the spare bed in the baby's room and Kayla's old bed. Now I'm working on getting rid of Kayla's toys and making space for the baby. It's alot of work.

Random note: Kayla turns 5 July 13th!!!!

Six Flags picture blog!

Kayla on the way over!

Waiting to get in the hotel pool. As soon as we got to our room she changed into her swimsuit.

Finally got to the pool. It was indoors and a little chilly.

Saturday morning at Six Flags. It didn't take long to go through the line. It was very hectic though.

Kayla wanted one of us to get on the ride w/ her. This picture makes me laugh! Poor Heath.

Amy's turn! It was funny to see the adults ride the kiddie rides w/ the kids.

My kind of ride. The merry go round! Not getting squooshed in here.

On the Ferris Wheel. This was really high. It was a little scary b/c the cart we were in would wave in the breeze. I don't do heights very well. Let alone roller coasters. Kayla was a bit too short for the big roller coasters. But Heath and Amy will have to go on those w/ her. Eventually we'll get to Disneyland.

Amy on the wheel.

Sitting and waiting on slushes. It was HOT and we were TIRED!

We did find Sylvester before we left. Amy is in the pic but she told me not to post it anywhere so I just cropped her out. hehe.

Our room service that night! Kayla thought it was awesome. She had cheese pizza and a bowl of pineapples.

This past weekend Heath, Kayla and I made it to Louisville to go to Kentucky Kingdom. I took off Friday and Kayla and I had to go to Saturn to get new tires on my car. Mom met us there and we went to Ihop for breakfast. It was good! Then we went to Walmart and by the time we were done my car was ready. Good timing. Kayla and I got home and chilled out til Heath got home around 2. We met Amy at the hotel. It was a nice hotel. We hung out in the room until we finally had enough of Kayla asking to go to the pool every 5 minutes. She got her bathing suit on as soon as we got in the room.
The park didn't open til 11 so we tried to sleep in but Kayla got up at 7:30. We piddled around the room, took showers and went to Burger King for Breakfast. OMG, it was so hot! We found the kiddie rides and it took awhile for Kayla to warm up to them. But once she did she was non stop back and forth. I have pics I'll post later. We went to the waterpark while Amy and Heath went to ride some big roller coasters. I don't do roller coasters. Kayla and I found a kiddie area w/ slides and water falls that we loved. She slid down some tall windy slides. I had to have the lifeguard at the bottom catch her though. Made me nervous not being able to go w/ her. I get a little paranoid in big crowds w/ Kayla. Always afraid someone is going to snatch her up. It was hard getting around barefoot in the water park. My ankle hurt. I think I might get an ankle brace. It just doesn't feel secure. We went in the wave pool too. Kayla has no fear. When the waves would come she would go under. There was a current too. I had to stay so close to her. There were a couple of times where I had to grab her and pull her up.
Heath and Amy came back about 30 min later. It was a 2 hour wait to ride roller coasters. With the heat and all the people they decided to just play in the water park. We ate some expensive grose hamburgers and back to the kiddie water area. It was getting so crowded it was unreal. AFter a couple of hours there we decided to leave. I was getting burned and it was just way too hot. It was fun though. We went back to the hotel room and ordered room service. Kayla thought that was the coolest thing. We watched the Disney Channel (High School Musical Marathon) and ate in bed. We were so tired that we didn't bother going to the zoo on Sunday. Plus it was raining in Louisville so we left around 10am to go home.
We're not doing much this weekend. We want to get Kayla a new bed b/c she is outgrowing her little one. So we may go bed shopping Saturday. We're thinking about getting her something fun. Like a loft bed w/ drawers or a desk underneath it. Something w/ a ladder. They have these really cool ones that have a slide. But she would never go to sleep if she got that one.

Thursday

We're going to Kentucky Kingdom this weekend. We're going to leave Friday afternoon. Amy (my sister) is going to meet us. Saturday we'll go to the park. I invited Amy b/c it will be fun w/ her and plus she can help me out w/ Kayla. With being pregnant and a bad leg I get tired pretty easy. Heath helps but the more the merrier. Then Sunday we're going to the Louisville zoo. I know my ankle will swell up w/ all the walking. But oh well. I don't want to miss out on anything b/c of a little swelling. I hope someday it doesn't hurt anymore. My knee hurts when I stretch. My ankle just hurts all the time. When I first get up in the morning I limp. I try to stretch it out. There is roller derby this weekend. The 1st one I missed all season. Not too much longer and I won't be able to hide my baby bump. My friend got me a bella band. It's a stretchy band you put around your pants so you can wear them unbuttoned. It's great!
Kayla's swim lessons are going awesome. Jenny says she learns quickly. Kayla loves the water. She hasn't been on her best behavior lately. It's very frustrating. She doesn't listen. We're working on it though. I think with all her life changes these days and her age it's a bit out of hand. Pulling her out of Milestones, new baby and starting kindergarten is alot for a 4 year old. I feel weird calling her 4 b/c she is almost 5 and acts just like a 5 year old. 4 sounds so young. Mom and I are taking her to Holiday World on her Birthday. It's on a Monday and I'm off work anyway. I thought that would be fun for her.

lost

Kayla pulled her loose tooth out yesterday. She was so excited! She put it under her pillow last night. I slipped 4 quarters underneath it. She woke up this morning looking for her tooth and it was gone. She saw the quarters and said that is so awesome. It seemed like she was more excited than she was w/ Santa Claus. It was the cutest thing ever!

When we got home from Target she went up the street and told all the neighbors she lost her tooth. I might as well merge my other blog in here too.
I had my dr appointment today. I waited forever. I had my ultrasound. It was really cool seeing the baby. It was moving around. They have it to where you can see it in 4D. That was kinda creepy but totally neat! Since I'm having a Csection we're going to schedule it for Dec 15th. My due date is Dec 24 but they don't want to go full term b/c that is considered high risk. I can't wait to show Kayla the u/s pictures tonight.
Speaking of tonight Kayla starts her swim lessons w/ my friend Jennie. She is really excited about that too. She loves to swim. Every night we get home from work she puts on her suit. We don't have a pool but she'll play w/ the hose or sprinkler all night.

This is how big I was when I had Kayla. It was 2 weeks before she was born. BOY! I hope I don't get that big this time!!!!

loosey goosey

Kayla has a loose tooth! I thought it was way early for her to start losing teeth. With her 3 cavities I was in fear that her whole mouth was rotted. But the loose tooth wasn't discolored. So I googled it......

Most children begin to lose their baby teeth by age 6 or 7, although sometimes baby teeth fall out up to a year or two earlier or later. Girls generally lose baby teeth earlier than do boys. The last baby teeth typically fall out by age 12 or 13.

Baby teeth usually fall out in the order in which they erupted — the two bottom front teeth (lower central incisors) first, followed by the two top front teeth (upper central incisors), then the lateral incisors, first molars, canines and second molars.

It is the bottom front tooth. So now we have to start shellin' out money for the tooth fairy. How fun!

life now

Kayla went to the dentist yesterday. She has 3 cavities!!!!! We brush at morning and at night. It's her back teeth. The dentist told me to help her out. She's going back next month to get them filled. I think she'll do fine. It just makes me nervous b/c I don't want her to go through that. I love her dentist. He's very flamboyant and good w/ her. She asked me how she got them b/c she brushes all the time. I told her she eats too much candy. So she said no more candy. Also, she needs to make sure she gets way back in her mouth to brush. We'll see how that goes.
Yesterday my foot on my bad leg started tingling when I would walk on it. Before I rubbed the top of my foot and maybe loosened some muscles. But it tingled this morning too. Maybe it's just nerve damage from rubbing it last night. Who knows. But it better stop b/c I don't want to have to call the Dr and have something done. I'm pregnant and I can't take any pain medication.

Memorial weekend

It was a good long weekend. Saturday we went to Vinnie's birthday party. It was in his backyard and had a carnival theme. They had games and jumpy things. Kayla was shy at first and clung to me. Then she got use to everything and played w/ some older girls. I think there were too many boys there. After the party we went home but stayed out front and played some more. Sunday we went to my friend Metzger's new house in Newburgh. She has a sweet basement w/ a bar and pool table. We all brought our kids and it was fun to watch them play. We left around 9. Sunday was a big lazy day for me. Heath went golfing at 7am and Kayla and I just milled around the house. We watched High School Muscial 3 which was the cheesiest movie ever. Then Heath got home and I went upstairs to take a nap. Pregnancy wears me out. His brother came over and Heath started grilling ribs. Yes, in the rain. Then our power went out for 2 hours. Good times! So we just had ribs w/ no sides. The ribs were good but not that filling. Poor Kayla was hungry all night. I can't stand to have no electricity. I don't see how they did it in the olden days. ick!

new day

So Kayla went to her new daycare yesterday. She is going next door to the neighbor's Denise. I talked to Denise after Kayla's first day. She wasn't as good as I had planned. Her and Izzie (Denise's 2 year old) didn't get along as well as they do otherwise. I think Kayla was testing her boundaries w/ Denise. I gave Kayla a talkin' to last night and this morning. I called Denise today and she said she's doing better. I told Kayla to act like she's at Milestones. Then Kayla said it's not a school, they don't have tables, or a lobby, or time outs in the bathrooms. I think it will take some getting use to for her. It is nice when we're ready to leave the house. Kayla walks over there by herself. I watch her from the driveway though.

Also, if you haven't heard I'm 9 weeks pregnant! I started a mommy blog when I found out. So if you can't get enough of ME then hop on over here.....
http://maggie47725.wordpress.com/

I may eventually merge these 2 blogs. The one above is mainly about Dr apts, how I feel and baby stuff. Not so interesting to some.
Laters!
